1. 학과소개

컴퓨터공학과는 4차산업혁명 사회의 선두에서 중추적인 역할을 수행할 수 있는 빅데이터, 메타버스, 인공지능, 사물인터넷, 블록체인, 클라우드 등의 전문 지식을 습득하여 창조적인 능력을 갖춘 인재를 양성하는 것을 목표한다. 더불어 학부에서 컴퓨터 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어 이론과 실기를 더욱 깊이 학습하여 전문 역량을 갖춘 인재를 배출하고자 한다. 본 컴퓨터공학과에서는 소프트웨어시스템, 네트웍컨버전스, 가상현실&그래픽스, 머신러닝, 지능형 시스템, 사물인터넷 컴퓨팅 등의 컴퓨터 분야를 연구하고 있다.

 

2. 교육목표

컴퓨터 학부에서 배운 기초적인 지식을 심화하고 확대하여 창의력과 전문성을 갖춘 글로벌 컴퓨터공학 전문 인재양성을 교육목표로 한다. 또한, 컴퓨터 지식을 이용한 현실 문제를 공식화하고, 당면문제를 체계적으로 해결할 수 있는 능력을 배양하며, 스스로 컴퓨터 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어 연구 개발할 수 있는 능력을 배양하고 동시에 연구 및 개발업무를 창의적이고 독립적으로 수행할 수 있는 컴퓨터공학 고급 전문 인재를 양성한다.

 

3. 주요 연구분야

· 소프트웨어시스템연구실 : 여러 다양한 환경에서 사람들이 편리하고 즐겁게 사용할 수 있는 시스템을 개발하는 원리 및 방법, 임베디드 컴퓨팅, 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 기술에 대하여 연구한다.
· 지능형시스템연구실 : 대량의 다양한 데이터를 효율적으로 관리하는 방법과 지능형 시스템 개발 방법론 및 응용시스템 적용, 활성화를 위한 기술에 대하여 연구한다.
· 네트웍컨버전스연구실 : 네트워크망 관리 및 성능향상에 대한 연구와 Mobile Ad-hoc 네트워크와 P2P응용에 대하여 연구한다.
· 머신러닝 연구실 : 인공지능 및 딥러닝 기술을 이용한 재미있는 연구를 수행하고 있다. 에너지 생산 및 수요 예측 등 시계열 데이터를 이용한 예측기술, 인터넷에 있는 빅데이터로부터 지식을 발견하는 기술, 의료 이미지를 이용한 진단기술, 블록체인 기술을 이용한 데이터 신뢰 보장 기술, 사용자 정보를 이용한 추천기술, 기계 고장 진단기술, 메타버스 내에서의 다양한 예측 기술 등 인공지능과 관련된 다양한 연구를 수행하고 있다.
· 사물인터넷연구실 : 현실세계와 인터넷/모바일 가상공간을 연결하여 에너지와 헬스 등의 분야와, 농장, 공장, 홈, 빌딩, 도시 등의 공간에 스마트 융합서비스를 제공하기 위해 모바일 컴퓨터, 상황 분석과 예측, 최적화, 블록체인, 디지털트윈, 인공지능, 빅데이터, 사물인터넷 등의 기술을 연구하고, 이를 토대로 복합문제를 해결하는 지능적인 서비스에 대해 연구한다.

 

4. 진출분야 및 전망

컴퓨터에 관한 제반 기술을 필요로 하는 분야 즉, 빅데이터, 인공지능, 메타버스, 클라우드 등의 소프트웨어 기술 및 응용 개발분야, 컴퓨터 네트워킹과 임베디드 시스템 등의 정보통신분야, 그 외의 정보산업에 필수적으로 요구되고 있는 핵심기술 분야로 진출할 수 있다. 또한 지속적인 학술연구로 학계에 진출할 수 있다.

 

 

1. Introduction 

The Department of Computer Engineering aims at training students to get professional and creative ability, who will have important roles in the 4th industrial revolution era. For the purpose, this department has the curriculum that lets students study the knowledge of Bigdata, AI(Artificial Intelligence), IoT(Internet of Things), Cloud, Blockchain, etc, and expand their competency in their own field. The department has many laboratories for graduate students such as Software System, Virtual Reality & Graphic, Machine Learning, Intelligent System, Network Convergence, and Internet of Things Computing.

 

2. Educational Objectives

The goal of education is to cultivate global computer engineers with creativity and expertise by deepening and expanding the basic knowledge to lead the IT technologies. In addition, it includes cultivation of the ability to formulate a technical problem and systematically solve it encountered, Simultaneously, it includes training advanced talents who can perform research and computer Hardwar and software development tasks creatively and independently by raising the ability to research and develop by themselves. 

 

3. Education & Research field

· Software System Laboratory: Research on the principles and methods of developing systems that people can use conveniently and enjoyably in various environments, embedded computing, and ubiquitous computing technology.
· Intelligent System Research Laboratory: Research on the methods for efficiently managing large amounts of various data, and methods and technologies for intelligent system development, application and activation.
· Network Convergence Laboratory: Research on network management and performance enhancement, and mobile ad-hoc networks and P2P applications.
· Machine Learning Lab.: In our laboratory, we are conducting interesting research using artificial intelligence and deep learning technologies including prediction technology using time series data such as energy production and demand forecasting, knowledge discovery from big data on the Internet, diagnostic technology using medical images, data trust guarantee technology using block-chain, recommendation using user information, machine failure diagnosis, various prediction technologies within the metaverse, and etc.
· Internet of Things Research Laboratory: Research on CPS(Complex Problem Solution) services and technologies such as mobile computers, IoT(Internet of Things), Blockchain, context analysis and prediction, optimization, Digital Twin, AI, Bigdata and optimal control that provide intelligent convergence services by connecting the real world with the Internet/mobile virtual space.
· Virtual Reality & Graphics Lab: Virtual Reality & Graphics Lab uses computer graphics technology to study the elements needed for games on computers and mobile devices, and to develop element technologies that experience them in virtual space.

 

4. Postgraduate career options

Fields that require various technologies related to computers, such as AI and data science, software technology development, Metaverse, Cloud, embedded system and IoT, and information and communication fields, The students can make their way to the core technology fields that are essential for other information industries. In addition, it is possible for students to advance into the academic world by doing continuous academic research.
