1. 학과 소개
본 전공은 다양한 사회과학 및 인문학의 관점을 바탕으로, 사회 현상을 비판적으로 이해하여 사회 문제를 합리적으로 해결하는 시민을 기르는 교육을 연구한다.
2. 교육목표
초등사회과교육전공 박사과정은 사회？문화 연구 및 교육 이론에 대한 학문적 이해를 바탕으로 교육 현장인 학교뿐만 아니라, 사회？문화 교육 관련 분야에서 전문성을 발휘할 수 있도록 세부분야를 심도 있게 교육？연구하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 특히 초등사회과교육과 관련된 소양 있는 교사와 전문가를 양성하는데 초점을 둔다.

1. Introduction of the major
Based on various social science and humanities perspectives, This major focuses on education that fosters citizens who reasonably solve social problems by critically understanding social phenomena.
2. Educational objectives
The Doctoral Program in Elementary Social Studies Education aims at educate and research focus areas which help doctorial students to show expertise in social and cultural education field as well as in schools based on academic understanding of social and cultural studies and educational theory. In particular, it focuses on fostering effective teachers and experts in elementary social studies education.
