1. 학과 소개

제주대학교 간호학과는 제주지역의 유일한 4년제 국립대학으로 2002년에 석사과정이 개설되었고, 2015년에 박사과정이 개설되어 제주도 내에서 유일하게 간호학 석·박사 양성이 가능한 교육기관이다. 제주대학교 간호대학은 제주도내 간호교육의 질적 발전에 기여하고, 다양한 지역사회 기반 교육 및 연구에 참여하는 동시에 국제화 역량을 갖추기 위해 노력하고 있다. 본 학과는 급변하는 의료사회 변화에 도전하는 창의적인 세계적 수준의 간호사 육성과 제주도 지역사회의 건강증진 및 건강한 사회건설에 기여하는 간호전문가를 육성한다.

2. 교육목표

창의적 통합적 실무 역량을 갖춘 간호전문인 양성
의사소통 능력과 리더십을 발휘하는 간호전문인 양성
법적·윤리적 책무성을 지닌 간호전문인 양성
능동적으로 환경변화에 대응하는 간호전문인 양성

3. 주요 연구분야

기본간호학, 성인간호학, 노인간호학, 아동간호학, 모성간호학, 정신간호학, 지역사회간호학, 간호관리학 등 간호학 분야 이외에 보건학 및 타 분야와 접목한 다양한 분야에서 연구활동을 하고 있다.

4. 진출분야 및 전망

간호 분야에서 전문인력의 요구도가 높아지면서 간호교육자(교수요원), 공공 및 민간 보건기관 연구원, 간호경영자(노인요양시설, 보건진료소, 보육시설, 사회복지시설, 정신보건센터, 조산원 등), 간호관리자, 보건공무원 등으로 활발히 활동하게 된다.

Department of Nursing

1. Introduction

The Department of Nursing at Jeju National University, the only four-year national university in Jeju, established a master’s program in 2002 and a doctoral program in 2015. Jeju National University is the only educational institution in Jeju Island where both master’s and doctoral degrees in nursing are provided. The College of Nursing at Jeju National University contributes to the improvement of quality nursing education by participating in various community-based activities as well as research projects and also by striving to develop international capabilities in students. The Department of Nursing fosters creative world-class nurses who challenge the rapidly-changing medical society as well as nursing experts who contribute to health promotion in the Jeju community and further a healthy society.

2. Educational Objectives

Cultivate the professionals with creative and comprehensive nursing expertise
Foster the nurses equipped with communication skills and leadership quality
Train legally and ethically responsible nursing experts
Nurture the nursing professionals capable of actively responding to changing environment and circumstances

3. Education & Research field

Nursing research is being actively carried out in the fields of fundamental nursing, adult nursing, gerontological nursing, pediatric nursing, maternity nursing, psychiatric nursing, community health nursing, and nursing management. In addition, interdisciplinary research, combined with public health and other fields, is also being conducted.

4. Postgraduate career options

As the demand for professionals increases in the nursing field, graduates will have opportunities to work as nursing educators, researchers in the public or private health institutions, nursing administrators, public health officials, or nursing executives in nursing homes, community health centers, childcare facilities, social welfare facilities, mental health centers, and midwifery clinics.
